By using The Taoist Journal (“the app” and “the service”), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The Taoist Journal provides a journaling and reflection experience, including optional AI-generated insights. The service is provided “as is.” We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
You agree to use the app only for lawful purposes and in line with these terms. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for the content you create. You must not misuse the service (e.g. attempt to gain unauthorized access, abuse other users, or overload our systems).
We own or license the app, branding, and our content. You keep ownership of your journal content; you grant us the rights needed to operate the service (e.g. to store, process, and display your entries and to generate insights).
If you subscribe to a paid tier (e.g. Taoist Pro), payment and cancellation are governed by the applicable app store and our subscription terms. Refunds are handled per the app store’s policy.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
We may change these terms. We will post the current version at this URL and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
